We continue to climb in the team rankings and to add active CPUs, and to climb in the team rankings, with a slight decline in the average hourly points earned, at 840k points per hour. My personal goals are 1 million PPH and placement in the top 100 teams.

I’m starting to think about buying or building a desktop so my poor laptop can get a break now and then and I can keep cranking out WUs.

Unless you want to shell out for something new, I’d recommend a Dell Precision tower. Plenty of space and a robust power supply and a professional-grade case . According to Nibby, make sure it has a Sandy Bridge processor, at least. And the GPU is about $150 with shipping for a 1060 or a GTX 580. Because reasons, I may wind up being stuck with a spare GPU.
